  • A trick or piece of advice

All magic comes with a price and I am no longer willing to pay.

(Rumplestiltskin - Once upon a time)

  • Making the world a better place

Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam, where the deer and the antilope play. Where seldom is heard a discouraging word and the skies are not cloudy all day.

  • I'm excited about...

    Tea.

I am obsessed with tea and tea time. It's not as if I were obsessed with Britain, but tea time and table manners are things I am truly thankful for.

I like baking my own scones and serving them with earl grey tea to a strawberry jam.

I want to learn how to bake tarteletts au citron, puits d'amour and other little sweets. In the future I hope for having the chance to host tea parties for family and friends - maybe even for you?

It goes without saying that until then I will have perfected my skills in baking and brewing tea.

After all, I am simply one hell of a... - *no that would be to soon*.

  • My proudest accomplishments

I became a paralegal (also called legal executive or legal secretary) with the best grades my vocal college had in many years. I take pride in that.

  • I'm an expert at...

I am a native german speaker. I am good at housekeeping and handling little children.

  • My interests in other cultures

Human knowledge is one of the moste exciting things I can imagine. Even tough we seem to have examined this world all to the smallest detail, I think there is always something unexpected, something new.

On the other hand it makes me sad as we don't seem to learn from our previous mistakes. And that leads to hybris, to catastrophe and calamity.

That is why I want to get to know other cultures better in order to understand more and more people.

Compared to this earth itself, its trees and mountains, its oceans deeper than our greed and its sky higher than our imagination, human life is awfully short and fragile. I want us to stay humble and to always remember the simple fact that this life is a gift and this earth is just borrowed from our future generations.

"That is not dead, what can eternal lie and with strange aeons even death may die."
    (-H. P. Lovecraft)

  • It was better before

The world was fair, the mountains tall
in elder days before the fall
    of mighty kings in Nargothrond
    and Gondolin, who now beyond
the western seas have passed away,
the world was fair in Durins days.

    (J. R. R. Tolkien - Song of Durin)

  • My feeling about the future

The world is grey, the mountains old
    the forges fire is ashen-cold.
No harp is wrung, no hammer falls,
the darkness dwells in Durins halls.

The shadow lies upon his tomb
    in Moria, in Khazad-dum.

But still the sunken stars appear
    in dark and windless mirrormere.
There lies his crown in water deep,
'til Durin wakes again from sleep.

    (J. R. R. Tolkien - Song of Durin)

  • Cities and countries I have visited

I have already been to France, Sweden, England (Cornwall) and the Netherlands.

To Sweden my family has a special connection, because my father grew up there. I also speak a little swedish.
