  • Something to tell the world!

I’m Katie and I’m 32. I’m married with 2 kids and I’m an alternative chick. I like to create things. I play D&D and am learning to DM. I have a few times already. I’m really good at making characters.
I work as a salesperson at a children’s retail store.
I love to craft and create. I started my first battle vest. It’s got a lot of pins and buttons. I have a back patch and I’m painting some patches for it. I sew by hand and on a machine. I have a lot of ideas of clothes and other things I’d love to make.

  • My proudest accomplishments

I was in the U.S. Army. I opened my eyes to a bad relationship, left, started over and made a better life. Found someone, got married and had a kid. I also started my first battle vest and I love it.

  • My interests in other cultures

Anything you want to tell me about. I love traditions and customs. If you are from Germany that’s great. My German is rusty so I want to use it. I also love Japan and love to learn about the culture. I am willing to talk to you no matter where you come from.

  • Personal skills

I can sew. I don’t feel many people bother to learn. I know many in the diy community can somewhat. I have a machine and I’m planning on making a ton of clothes.

  • I always enjoy talking about...

I like to discuss music, art, social issues. Anything really. I also like D&D, so if you want to talk about the game and character building then I’m down with that.

  • Cities and countries I have visited

I traveled to Germany back in 2005

  • I'm an expert at...

Pretty good at crochet, writing, music and anything creative.

  • Favourite books/authors/films

I love Star Wars and Harry Potter. I read the books as well watched the movies.

  • Making the world a better place

Accept that we are all different and that’s okay. Let’s all just chill and enjoy life.

  • Childhood pleasures

Reading book after book after book

  • Something uncommon about me

    I’m not a conformist

  • A personal challenge

The hardest thing I did was leave a bad relationship. It was hard to leave a life I created and start over. But I wasn’t happy and he didn’t seem interested in furthering anything. So I left and ended up meeting the right person.

  • Living abroad for one year

I’d like to go to Japan, but I do wish to return to Germany one day.
