  • Something to tell the world!

*****Not looking for any new penpals for the time being. Thank you for visiting my profile!*****

    Hello~ I'm Kat! 😃

I like coffee, literature, linguistics, and engaging conversations. My MBTI personality type is INTP, if that tells you anything.

Other than that, I'm the kind of person who stays up late at night, drinks a whole lot of caffeinated drinks (bet you didn't see that coming!), and enjoys hobbies such as browsing art, writing, and collecting pins.

I am only looking for postal (snail mail) penpals, but I'm open to emailing or messaging for some time before committing to physical letters. Please know that I'm in no position to help with English, though.

Thank you for visiting my profile!

  • My interests in other cultures

I'm particularly curious about Chile, Portugal, New Zealand and Japan. If you are from these countries or have lived there for some time, please message me! I'd love to learn more about life there from you! 🙂

  • I always enjoy talking about...

literature, philosophy, food and culinary experiences, languages, cultures, films, self-improvement, history, traveling, writing, sustainability, fanfiction, mysteries and likely other ideas one might come up with!

  • Cities and countries I have visited

When I lived in the Balkans, I often visited Serbia, Greece and Montenegro with my family - especially enjoying the seaside. I have been to Albania, Kosovo and Bulgaria a few times too, but sadly not Bosnia. I've seen many cities and towns in the Balkans, too many to list, but my favourites are Nis and Novi Sad in Serbia.

I've been to Romania (Bucharest, Brasov, Arefu, Timisoara), Hungary (Budapest), France (Paris), and Italy (Trieste, Rome, Venice, Florence, Naples, Amalfi, Bari). My favourite place in Europe is definitely Rome; if I could, I'd move there! I've been there twice and will no doubt go back a third time. Maybe in 2021, if I'm lucky~

I've always wanted to visit Sicily and see Etna, travel France more extensively, and explore Alfama and Crete. Other places I hope to visit someday are the UK, Japan, Iceland, South Africa, Chile, Finland, New Zealand and Morocco.
