• My interests in other cultures

  I love meeting new people, traveling to places I've never been, doing things I've never done, learning new languages and broadening my view.

  Currently I am trying to better my French for professional reasons. But I would also like to learn Spanish, German, Italian, Arabic... There are many languages I know some words and sentences but I always love to learn more, so feel free to help me out here!

  As I said I also love traveling so I love to hear peoples experiences, tips and stories about their country or countries they visited!

• Cities and countries I have visited

  I had the privilege to go and explore many countries already, but I definitely want to explore many more.
  My most recent ones are Iceland, which is the most impressing and beautiful country I visited so far. This was also my first long trip alone so this also made it very exciting.
  This year I also made a small road trip across the south of the UK as a mentor of a group of fabulous youngsters, whith whom I made some fantastic memories.
  I want to do a lot of more traveling during my life. My dream destinations are Peru, Thailand, New Zealand and the USA (where I want to walk the Pacific Crest Trail).

• Childhood pleasures

  When I was young I wanted to be an artist/ fashion designer. You could always see me painting or drawing. So in secondary school I studied visual arts. I think I had no item of clothing at all that didn't had any kind of stain from paint or whatever. Unfortunately I am not a big artist (yet), but you can still find me drawing and painting in my free time. I added some pictures of a few of my works in case you are interested 🙂

• My proudest accomplishments

  In January I graduate as a social cultural worker, yay! My dream job was to become a youth worker, and now I can finally do this professionally instead of doing voluntary work in the sector. I do my best to be a good one and better myself every day. For me being able to do this job makes me very proud.

• I always enjoy talking about...

  I love talking about traveling, art, politics, philosophies, fun facts,...
  But you can talk to me about everything! I love to talk about things I know and learn about things I don't know.

• Living abroad for one year

  If I were to leave Belgium for a long time it would be to live as a nomad and travel to many different places. The dream is to buy a big van and convert it so I can live in it whilst traveling.

• Favourite books/authors/films

  I love to read books that give me a broader look at the world and make me think critically about the world and my subjective view on it. I love writers like Sunny Bergman, Peter Adriaenssens, Dalilla Hermans, Paul Verhaeghe,... (They are all Dutch writers) Maybe I am a little bit a nerdy reader...

  As for movies I always get a little bit nostalgic when I see anything about Harry Potter and Disney (The Lion King was my favorite!)!
