    Hello! My name is Caroline. I am from New York.
    I am interested in learning about the typical high school experience from around the world.
    I'm currently a high school junior.
    I'm studying Italian in school and Korean on my own. Next year I will take a Mandarin class.

    I love to talk about culture, philosophy, politics (and my hate for the concept of politics), books, movies, and music. I enjoy many different types of music such as punk rock, Hamilton, pop, alternative, Disney, and right now I am really into Kpop. My favorite bands include NCT, EXO, Taemin, The Ramones, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Hippo Campus.

    I am most interested in learning about high school life in other countries.

  • A personal challenge

    I am currently trying to teach myself Korean and hopefully next year I will take a class in Mandarin.

  • Improving the school system

    In America, learning foreign languages is something that needs to be improved. I wish we were taught a foreign language from a young age so we could speak it fluently by high school or college.

  • I'm excited about...

    One thing that excites me is college. I plan on studying International Business or Linguistics. In college, I plan to do as many study abroad programs as I can. I want to study in Italy, China, Korea, Japan, or England.

  • 10 years from now

    In 10 years, I want to be making money so I can help others. Ideally, I would travel to China to help educate kids in the rural regions.

  • Cities and countries I have visited

    I have been to London and Paris. I am interested in traveling to Asia.

  • Childhood pleasures

    I have always loved Disney movies, especially Pixar. I also have always loved Dreamworks movies.

  • Life regrets

    In elementary school, we had Spanish class once a week. even though that probably would not do much, I wish I had taken it more seriously.

  • I wish people knew more about...

    I wish I knew more about human rights and freedom in China and North Korea. I would love an inside point of view.
